Putting Skills to the Test
One skill that I am able to use both at work as a Search Engine Optimization Specialist, and at home as a wife, mother, chauffer, housekeeper, lunch maker, boo-boo kisser, story reader… excuse my rant. The skill that I use the most is being organized, and with my upcoming work/home schedule, my organizational skills are going to be pushed to their limits.
With a daughter entering 5th grade and playing soccer, a son entering Kindergarten and playing football, and my biggest handful of them all, my four year old son just being himself, my home calendar is going to be full of game times, project deadlines, practice schedules and more. I feel like I will need a school-sized chalk board to keep everything straight instead of the calendar on my fridge. Those daily squares are just not big enough!
At DDA, a search engine optimization company, I will also need to focus on organizing website optimization schedules that will include social media optimization as well as content generation for clients in our SureThing Optimization Program. I will be in the office less hours due to a school district that has half day classes, and will still need to make sure that each client’s website optimization is completed on time. Our clients can rest assured that they will still receive their montly optimization status email just as they are used to.
