Chose Quality over Price

As I continue to work on my ’85 Honda Vf700 Sabre motorcycle I bought last Fall, I am quickly finding out about all the tools needed to properly adjust and maintain its various parts. Unfortunately, as quickly as I am finding about the tools needed, I’m also learning about the lack of longevity and strength of most consumer-grade tools. The torque wrench from Pep Boys already has an incorrect and nonadjustable meter reading of about +7 foot-pounds, a generic 6mm hex bit snapped in a ratchet, a 3/8″ to 1/4″ socket adapter from AutoZone sheared in half under about 13 foot-pounds of torque (actual reading of 20 foot-pounds on the previously mentioned torque wrench). Needless to say, many tools I have purchased for this project are gradually getting replaced with professional-grade ones. Luckily, I have made a conscious effort to keep receipts so I should be able to get my money back on the sub-par tools.

The old adage “you get what you pay for” rings true in almost any situation.  Whether it’s workshop tools such as my situation at home, or as working at DDA with virtual medical simulations, medical eLearning tools, medical videos, healthcare videos, or pharmaceutical marketing. At DDA, we’re probably not going to be the cheapest option, but we’re the option that provides you with priceless quality and service. So, don’t do the mistake of trying to save a buck and getting something that needs replacement with hardly any use. Invest wisely and you’ll be rewarded with the result.
