Lip Syncing Seal
I had time to finish the lip syncing layout using the Magpie software so that meant that I now had to animate the Seal’s mouth to match in the DDA CMT 3D medical animation. Since a fellow animator here already made morph targets for the mouth and face during the 3D modeling process, I now just had to change the morphs to match the laid-out mouth shapes.
Luckily again for me, the other animator has already gone through this on a previous animation and was able to give me a list of which morphs and to what percentages should be used to make these mouth sounds. This way the mouth movements would also be consistent between animations. This 3D video will soon be featured on the general medical page of DDA’s CMT website, so check back in a few weeks if you want to see the new addition.
