There have been too many late night must do’s in the past two weeks and it is taking a horrible toll on my sleep total. So much so that I feel like I’m on the verge of collapse. It all began last week with the 24-hour movie marathon. Enough said there. That was followed by the typical work week where I never feel like I get enough sleep. Plus, I’m a night owl and waking up this early hurts even when I’m well rested. Then you have to throw in the multiple Phillies World Series games going late into the night. You can’t help but watch those games just because there is hope of winning something for once in a lifetime (no, arena football doesn’t count). Then this past weekend, we went to the Rocky Horror Show at midnight, which was obviously kind of late, but led to not going to sleep until 5 a.m. just because of everyone having fun.
I am dragging big time. I wouldn’t be surprised if I fall asleep and someone finds me doing some website programming with my forehead, or snoring to the beat of a looping 2D animation, or even doing web design in my dreams. If I could, I would postpone Halloween this weekend since that can’t be truly celebrated during the day and would result in another late night. In exchange, I would spend the entire three-day weekend asleep in my bed while occasionally lifting my head to watch a movie or to insert nourishment into my mouth.
