Digital Eye Candy
Last night I watched some of the election coverage as did almost every other American citizen. It was pure graphic design eye-candy. There was every kind of graphic, chart, hologram, virtual reality room and interactive US map you could think of on every news station. I couldn’t watch just one. Ann Curry was in some sort of virtual reality room with curved graphs popping up in front of her. Other news stations were playing with their interactive maps changing the color of states right before our eyes. I couldn’t help but giggle thinking about the SNL spoof of that political feature. Check-marks were flashing, colors were vibrant and photos were pure – at least I think they should have been. Sadly, this is our living room TV.
As I was watching all of these charts, graphics and flashing political teasers I couldn’t help but think, DDA can do that! And, DDA does that! DDA has incorporated actors and actresses into virtual spaces who also interact with 2D objects. Why, just check out DDA Video and click on Replay intro to see our spokesperson interact with camera lighting and while you’re there take a look around our gallery of DDA produced and edited video productions and animations!
