American way of life
My google search informs me that Labor Day is the celebration of the value and dignity of work, and its role in the American way of life. History tells us that the average American in the late 1800s worked 12-hour days, 7 days a week. So, workers took an unpaid day-off to protest conditions and honor the workers of America, holding the first-ever Labor Day parade. In 1894, the first Monday in September was officially declared the holiday for workers, now known as Labor Day. It’s good to remember the everyday worker, we are the life’s blood of the economy. We should remember to appreciate how far we’ve come from past terrible working conditions to today’s fairly regulated breaks and hours.
Here at DDA, we appreciate the best schedule of days and hours, we observe a 10-hour day with a 4-day work week- gotta love it. And although a 10 hour day can seem long, it is well worth the 3 day weekend, and even more enjoyable on extra-long holidays like Labor Day weekend. A 10-hour day can go by very quickly when you have as much to offer as DDA is a full service advertising agency. Regularly working on projects that could include web animation, animated medical videos, SEO copywriting, medical content writing, brochure designs, medical illustrations, search engine optimization, interactive games, and interactive websites, just to name a few, can make a day go by very quickly… giving way to more time to enjoy the American way of life.
