Yesterday I was thinking about how fast technology has grown, especially in regards to the internet. Not long ago we were using dial up connections, many people were on AOL, and we believed the internet was fairly private to share information with only a select few people. Now we don’t have to tie up the phone line to get online, we’re always on (even with mobile devices), and social networking has changed the face of the internet as we know it. Except for those tech savvy people or those simply cautious enough to understand, a quick Google search can reveal a lot of information about a particular person.
But, this is how the internet has grown to be so important. Social networking is not only a great way to keep up with friends, but it can also serve to deliver marketing messages or advertisements to capture people interested in your business. Never before have we been able to carefully target specific people based on their interests. I’m not 100% on all the ins and outs, but I’m quite certain Facebook is able to target advertisements based on information pulled from user profiles. So for instance, if you like a certain band in your profile, any advertisements related to that band will appear to you. This is just a small sample of how social networking has changed things.
As a business, it only makes sense for you to try and leverage this market. DDA specializes in social networking optimization to help target your business to people all over the world who may find interest in your products or services. Alternatively, DDA can also build complete social networking sites so that your business can build a community of it’s own.
