An Educational Advertising Company

Just the other day I wrote about businesses who still do not understand the power of a website.

This week, we were approached by two different people, representing their respective company, who were fighting against the resistance from the higher ups. As David, succinctly put it, “I learned a long time ago not to try to convince people of the importance of a website.”

But both cases were a bit odd in the sense that the person we were meeting with to discuss website design and development fully understood the power of a site beyond just a pretty face — wanting to explore search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM).

As convinced as they both are, their bosses are still clinging onto the notions of yesterday and they were looking for a little help from a full service advertising company who obviously knows what it’s doing.

I will prepare a proposal in both cases and work to find some way to show just how important a website — a really good website, with a custom design, a search engine optimized platform, and professional content — can be for business.

After doing so many conference calls and working with so many prospective clients, it’s odd for me to hear that someone still doesn’t understand why a website is necessary.  Our work pushes the envelope in terms of technology and innovation; we are constantly exploring new and better ways to disseminate information to our client’s target audiences — integrated video, interactive training tools, avatars, and 3D modeling.

So, when we have some convincing to do, regarding a website, it’s kind of like taking a step back. But as I have come to learn through countless meetings, DDA provides more than digital services. A lot of times, we also provide an education.
