Case Study: Central Pacific Pain Management Trifold Brochure – 2009

A custom-designed logo and informational brochure help build the foundation for a strong medical practice.

OVERVIEW RESULTS

Challenge

In 2009, Central Pacific Pain Management was a new medical practice, specializing in minimally invasive pain management techniques. In order to properly market their services, they enlisted DDA’s team of professional designers, copywriters, and production staff to develop a tri-fold medical brochure that outlined the practice’s expertise.

Objectives

DDA was to develop an attractive promotional sales tool to help Central Pacific Pain Management attract new patients and gain their trust through information. This custom-designed brochure would strengthen Central Pacific’s identity with a recognizable logo, appealing design, and condition-centric copy that was easy for patients to read and understand.

Solution

After discussing the core messages Central Pacific Pain Management wanted to convey, DDA designers created multiple concepts for a logo, and through refinements based on client feedback, one design was chosen that spoke to the practice’s core patient base. The logo is an outline of an active figure, which elicits a feeling of movement and freedom, something patients living with painful conditions strive to achieve. Once a logo was established, DDA designers moved on to brochure design, and carried over that feeling of activity and living a life free of pain. Throughout the brochure, DDA graphic artists layered images of active individuals, in the same age category as Central Pacific’s target audience, to convey messages of hope, strength, and an improved quality of life. Once DDA copywriters learned more about the practice and its specialties, they were able to develop content that highlighted Central Pacific’s expertise in the field of pain management. Combining a pleasing design with clear information on the practice’s minimally invasive interventional pain treatments, Central Pacific Pain Management had the materials they needed to attract potential patients.

Results

“Discover Life Without Pain” was the main message of the brochure. The cool colors, images of active adults, and patient-centered copy reinforced the freeing feeling that Central Pacific Pain Management is dedicated to helping patients achieve.
