Advancing with the times

I, like many viewers across the globe, was glued to my TV screen Friday night watching the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympic Games. Though I would by no means classify myself as an avid sports fan, I’ve been a huge fan of the Olympics as far back as I can remember. In fact, one of my favorite activities as a child was pretending to be a gold medalist figure skater or gymnast depending upon the season. While I no longer attempt flips on the backyard swing set,I still enjoy watching the Olympic games. This year’s opening ceremonies was a pleasure to watch and extremely visually stimulating. From a floor that transformed into a churning ocean to a wheat covered field, the special effects left viewers blown away.

The ceremonies of today are much different than the ceremonies of the past and this is a direct reflection of technological advancement. Like green screens have become a staple in modern movie productions, this technology has found its way into the realms of many digital platforms, including the Olympic stage. As a full-service medical marketing and advertising agency, DDA Corp and DDA Medical uses this very same technology to integrate spokespersons into an interactive web environment. In a DDA exclusive technology called Onlivemation, actors are placed over animated or illustrated background environments for a highly stylized and engaging visual effect. What’s more, with an in-house animation studio and a team of degreed professionals, actors can interact with animated characters. Take a look at our corporate and medical training website for such an example.

Just as the complexity and “wow” factor of the opening ceremonies have evolved with the times and technologies, so has DDA. As a client of our medical marketing and advertising agency, rest easy knowing you’ve partnered with a cutting edge studio at the forefront of today’s technologies.
