3DTV implications of computing and the Internet?

3D movies have been taking off and creating big hits. Now you can bring 3D home with you, as the next generation TVs are supporting 3D broadcasts and Blu-ray movies. If 3DTV gains the same amount of traction HDTV did, we will we see this filter through to the Internet. YouTube now delivers video in HD. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if they were looking at 3D next. They already looked into a stereoscopic player last summer.

Here at DDA Medical, we are very excited about how this technology can be integrated into our virtual medical simulations. Simply being able to see body parts in 3D would be great when trying to demonstrate how to move a catheter through a heart without damaging any tissue. Having 3D as a new learning tool is yet another reason why you should consider virtual medical simulations and training over the traditional books and videos approach.

Engage your audience and they will learn faster and retain more.
