The 20-60-20 Rule

A recent article on business management claims that the 20-60-20 rule applies to almost every business. The rule says that 20% of the employees are always on their game, leader types and completely dependable. 60% are average performers, good employees, mostly competent. The last 20% are not motivated, not capable of performing their jobs well, day-to-day, and not dependable.

Elizabeth and I each read this article and had the same reaction…NOT TRUE at DDA!

We have not a single person in the bottom 20%. Everyone is capable, bright, motivated and dependable. Yes, there are those that show more leadership, and take more initiative and even some that perhaps work harder than others, but no one is lazy, no one is not capable of doing their job, no one that does not care about DDA and performing to their highest level, for their sake, the companies sake and for the sake of their colleagues.

There is a sign in the gathering area that says:

No Average people Work Here. The sign has been with us for years and it is truer today than ever.

So whether we are building a CME platform, programming an eLearning portal, animating a medical disorder, producing a corporate or medical video, illustrating a package design or developing a website, like most of the other assumptions of  conventional thinking, DDA breaks the mold and the 20-60-20 rule as well!
