Always Keep Your Word

Like everyone on the planet, I have a long list of pet peeves. But for this post, I want to talk about one that ranks high on my list: anyone who does not do what they say they are going to do. That would include in the very fast business day people who do not acknowledge emails (especially when you specifically ask “please acknowledge” or anyone who says or writes, “I’ll get back to you in an hour…” and then does not.

There is such a thing as professional decorum, and I appreciate clients, vendors, job seekers, sales people, co workers who adhere to the unwritten rule, always keep your word. At DDA, we adhere to this adamantly. Our clients know that when they work with us, everyone on the DDA staff can be trusted to only make promises we can keep.

This is not always easy to do, and that is why we have time lines and time checks. This device gives our clients a heads up on what to expect. This is why we have project coordinators, so nothing falls through the cracks. And this is why we hone our process. Projects, especially complex eLearning portals have layers that must be orchestrated carefully if the finished project is to be exciting and useful and have a long shelf life.

All this we do, day in and day out. We create, we build, we communicate with each other and the client, and above all we keep our word.
