Always Interactive and Never Boring

This week seems to be carrying a theme for me — news from my sisterhood — but that’s how it goes sometimes. My younger sister was recently employed by a very large and very yummy food store chain. This after months of filling out applications, near employment, and generally no luck in landing a job. There are now dollar signs flashing in her eyes and though she hasn’t even showed up for her first day yet, she’s already griping about the long hours and waking up early. The long hours being 6 and a half and the early being 8 a.m. Try 5:30 a.m. and 10 hours, but hey I’m a grown up.

It takes me back to one of my first jobs, which was also at a grocery store as a checkout clerk. I absolutely hated it. Outside of my friendships with my fellow employees, the job was miserable. I stood there on a hard mat doing nothing but scanning groceries for hours, and other than my rubber band ball I was building from strays found on the belt and floor, there was little entertainment. I moved to the produce department the first chance I got.

I’m a person who needs to stay busy; I can’t sit still; I get bored easily; and I do everything fast. When I’m not properly engaged, I do silly things like build rubber band balls. Working at DDA, I’m never bored. Since we work tirelessly to offer custom interactive marketing and advertising services that fully engage the target audience and that are entertaining and appealing, there’s always a lot going on around here to keep everyone interested.

It’s always exciting for me to see the different and unique video production, website design and development, interactive eLearning platform development, and 2D and 3D animation projects we create, and to know that we might be eliminating the boredom from someone else’s day.
