IMA is a highly successful organization offering disability evaluations, and they were looking for an innovative way to reduce their training costs. IMA realized they were allocating too much labor in new employee training for their physical and mental disability evaluations, so they turned to DDA Medical for custom computer programming services.

DDA Medical designed and developed a comprehensive custom eLearning solution. The Industrial Medicine Associates (IMA) employee training eLearning platform is a custom web application that introduces new employees to IMA and its culture. An on-screen spokesperson provides an introduction set within the custom virtual lab environment. A step-by-step animation provides details about the XperCT and XperGuide procedures, and an active simulation depicts the evaluation procedure in a realistic virtual environment. DDA Medical designed and developed a series of training modules for medical or psychological disability evaluators, with PowerPoint slides and synchronized voice-over narration. Each training module ends with a multiple-choice quiz to test trainee retention and comprehension. Trainees are awarded a personalized certificate upon successful completion. The opportunity to complete the training using iPads or Smartphones offers additional convenience and ease of access.

DDA Medical developed the administrative infrastructure for optimum flexibility and performance. IMA administrators can easily add new user logins, sort through trainees alphabetically, find specific users, and classify them by discipline. A variety of metrics on user performance can be tracked, as well as global metrics for a broader understanding of the eLearning trainee experience.

DDA Medical built the custom eLearning platform from the ground up to be compatible with popular devices favored by clinicians, such as the Apple iPadĀ® tablet computers. DDA Medical also integrated the final IML eLearning platform onto their website. The IML eLearning platform demonstrates how custom software application development helps businesses and organizations control costs, while raising and standardizing their level of training.
